The safeguarding and privacy of all online information accessed and shared within the organization is protected.
Cason ensures users’ privacy in its online properties, electronic communication and information technology.
The types of anonymous and identifying information collected from casual visitors and general users of the organizations online properties include identifying information such as device names, user names, IP addresses. These are collected automatically by antivirus software and operating systems logs.
Antivirus software, internet firewall and operating systems automatically collect information such as device names, IP address, user names and websites that were accessed. User information is collected automatically to identify potential security threats to the network. The information is not shared with any third parties. User information is automatically destroyed by antivirus software, firewalls and operating systems. All retired systems have hard drives removed and securely erased by Microtech Niagara.
Since user information is automatically destroyed by antivirus software, firewalls and operating systems, no online information is collected, stored or used. Executable programs are not used in CASON’s online environment. Consent is therefore not required.
To protect the privacy and security of information stored on our network, all shared folders and calendars are secured by user and user groups. VPN access is secured via network credentials.
Staff are instructed to save work files to the secure server only. Shared files are stored on the servers. Servers are backed up nightly to removable storage.
