A structured program that introduces modules to help you gain insight, strategies and skills that will assist you to remain abstinent from substances and alcohol. Day Treatment is Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm (leave at noon on Friday).

Who is this program for?
Individuals must have a commitment to abstain from all substances (not prescribed) during this program along with necessary supports and stability to participate.
Programs:
Day Treatment at CASON starts with an information session to help you understand the program and to ensure our program will meet your treatment needs. Our intensive program integrates Early Treatment, Day Treatment and Aftercare
Early Treatment is completed prior to the start of Day Treatment. This group-level preparation and stabilization program meets Thursday morning from 9AM to noon for three weeks prior to the start of Day Treatment. The goal of the group is to provide support and early recovery strategies for individuals planning to attend Day Treatment.
Day Treatment is a four-week, group facilitated program for individuals looking to make significant changes to their alcohol/and/or substance use. It is a structured program that introduces modules to help gain insight, strategies, hope and skills to remain abstinent from substances and alcohol while striving to gain insights to reaching their full potential. Examples of module content includes Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome, Communication, Fear, Values, Forgiveness, Neuroplasticity, Healthy Relationships, Leisure and Mindfulness.
This program is for individuals who are able to make a commitment to abstain from all substances during this program and agree to practice and discuss the strategies and knowledge learned within the Program.
Day Treatment is an intensive program that runs Monday to Thursday from 9am to 3pm and Friday 9am to noon. Day Treatment is a recovery-oriented program for individuals in the preparation and action stage of change as described the Transtheoretical Model (Stages of Change in Addiction).
Aftercare is a weekly group that assists individuals to maintain recovery. It provides counselling and education specific to issues in recovery and supports independent problem solving, development of positive self-esteem and greater awareness of self and significant relationships. Sessions are held once weekly for 1.5 hours. Enrolled individuals are expected to make a commitment to attend for a minimum of 8 sessions and up to 6 months. Women’s, Men’s and Co-Ed groups are available.
