Individuals seeking support in an abstinence-based group program that provides insight, strategies and skills to assist with substance related issues. Open to folks identifying as women, men, non-binary, transgender, two-spirit and gender non-conforming.
What the Day Treatment process entails?

Information Session:
Day Treatment at CASON starts with an information session to help you understand the program and to ensure that it will meet your treatment needs.
Early Treatment
Early Treatment is completed prior to the start of Day Treatment. This group meets Thursday morning from 9AM to noon. The goal of the group is to provide support and early recovery strategies for individuals planning to attend Day Treatment. This group runs 4-5 weeks depending on the cycle.
Day Treatment
It is a four-week structured program that presents topics to help individuals gain insight, strategies, hope and skills to remain abstinent from substances and alcohol while striving to reach their full potential. Examples of module content includes Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome, Goal Setting, Communication, Fear, Values, Forgiveness, Healthy Relationships, Leisure and Mindfulness.
Day Treatment is an intensive program that runs Monday to Thursday from 9am to 3pm and Friday 9am to noon for four-weeks.
Aftercare
A weekly group that assists individuals to maintain recovery. It provides support and education specific to issues in recovery and relapse prevention. Sessions are held once weekly for 1.5 hours. Enrolled individuals are expected to make a commitment to attend for a minimum of 8 sessions and up to 1 year. Women’s, Men’s and Gender inclusive virtual groups are available.
