Community Addiction Services of Niagara (CASON) was formed on April 1, 2009 through a merging of two addiction services that had been serving the Niagara community for decades: Niagara Alcohol and
Drug Assessment Service and the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centre. With just under 50 employees, CASON is a non-profit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
CASON provides a range of community-based services to individuals of all ages and their families. In fact, in the fiscal year 2018/2019 CASON served over 3,000 people!
Most of CASON’s services are funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care through our Local Health Integrated Network (HNHB LHIN). We are also proud to receive funding from and partner with several other organizations for innovative specialized programs.
We envision an inclusive community where people have the opportunity to overcome the challenges of addiction.
We value our staff and the client journey within a community of trust and respect, compassion and support, expertise and collaboration which inspires motivation, change, and freedom.
We exist to provide relevant treatment resources for individuals and their families in the Niagara Region with alcohol, drug and gambling addictions.
